Dataverse virtual tables using the virtual connectors for seamless Power Apps Integrations

Context: Integrating data from various sources can be challenging, especially when dealing with disparate systems. Traditional methods of data integration often require complex and time-consuming processes, especially when integrating Power Apps and Dataverse with MS SQL, SharePoint, Fabric, Salesforce, Oracle or even Snowflake.

Solution: Creating virtual tables in Dataverse using the virtual connector provider, simplifies data integration by allowing users to connect and interact with external data sources seamlessly. Virtual tables enable integrating data from external data sources by seamlessly representing that data as tables in Microsoft Dataverse, without data replication. Solutions, apps, flows, and more can use virtual tables as if they were native Dataverse tables. Virtual tables allow for full create, read, update, and delete privileges unless the data source they're connecting to specifically forbids it.

Impact: This solution enhances data accessibility and efficiency, enabling users to work with up-to-date information without the hassle of manual data integration. It improves decision-making, reduces operational complexity, and streamlines workflows, ultimately boosting productivity. This approach eliminates the need for data duplication and provides real-time access to external data.
